All along, I have always thought that there are only one Moon. But I am surprised to know that there are a total of 166 moons altogether in the solar system!!!

Mercury – 0
Venus – 0
Earth – 1
Mars – 2
Jupiter – 63
Saturn – 60
Uranus – 27
Neptune – 13

So plus 3 moons of Pluto is equal to…169 Moons!!!!

Oh my gosh! Can you believe it? 169 moons in total!!! Oh~ I am gonna faint…. And another interesting fact is that

The largest moon in the Solar System is Ganymede, which orbits Jupiter. It measures 5,268 km across the equator. In fact, Ganymede is so large that it’s even bigger than Mercury or Pluto, and almost as big as Mars.

Wow~I never know anything about this at all!!!

Oh yeah! People says that in 1969, Man takes the first steps on the Moon. And who is this great unbelievable guy? It is none other than this American guy, Neil Armstrong! But since ancient times, we chinese (yes, I am a chinese! Not china people! I am a Singaporean! Educated in both chinese and english!) has always believe that the first person to step onto moon is Chang E (嫦娥). That is what the legend says. She swallowed the eternal pill and flew to the moon as a punishment of eternal loneliness for her mistake. So now, who is the first to step onto Moon? The here-is-the-fact Neil Armstrong or the ancient legendary Chang E? Well, that’s for you to decide!

I know this happened way back a few years, but I just want to point out my view. Since young, we are taught that there are a total of 9 planets in the Solar System, namely the…

Mercury

Venus

Earth

Mars

Jupiter

Saturn

Uranus

Neptune

, plus the demoted Pluto. Because now, Pluto is no longer classified in the Planet category, but in the Dwarf Planet category! And for what reasons is this decision made? See something that I have quoted from somewhere:

“Is Pluto a planet? Does it qualify? For an object to be a planet, it needs to meet these three requirements defined by the IAU:

It needs to be in orbit around the Sun – Yes, so maybe Pluto is a planet.

It needs to have enough gravity to pull itself into a spherical shape – Pluto…check

It needs to have “cleared the neighborhood” of its orbit – Uh oh. Here’s the rule breaker. According to this, Pluto is not a planet.”

So, what is my view? To me, I have always regarded Pluto as a planet, even now, and I am sure that in the future, I will still regard Pluto as a planet, deep inside my heart. Well, maybe you could say that I am influenced by the anime/manga SailorMoon (each named after a planet, including the Moon), and has become bias, but the truth is, not only am I being a little influenced by this, I am also influenced by the fact that I was taught, “There are a total of 9 planets in the Solar System.” Please don’t be mistaken that Pluto is my favourite planet and that is the reason why I emphasize that I will always regard Pluto as a planet. For your information, my favourite planet is Jupiter, mainly because of SailorJupiter (SailorMoon), and also because it is the biggest among the rest (Like a big sister!)

Batman VS Spiderman

In regards to Dan Brown’s topic on Spiderman VS Batman, I have my views too! Even though superheroes have always been beside us ever since a child, be it on television, shopping centers etc, I never really have any views on any of them. Yes! They are cool! Super! Strong! Always the hero/heroine! But none of them have ever been my favourite! Well, you could say that I am not a fan of such things, but frankly, I won’t deny it, I really am not a fan of them. But instead, I am much of an otaku (anime fan). Well, for your information if none of you do not understand what anime is (which I doubt so). Anime is the japanese animations/cartoons that Japan is very famous for and it is spread around the whole world, like a computer virus. You see my point?

Anyway, I have led myself off the topic again. All right! Back to my superheroes topic. Basically, what I wanna say is, superheroes is not really something to be in awe. And the way they get their powers is rather similar. Either because of chemical reactions (powerpuff girls, ninja turtle etc) or be born with it, and many others. Well, I am a nag, right? Haha!

BASICALLY, for this topic, between spiderman and batman, I will elect batman as the best, be it with spiderman or the rest of the superheroes. Well, it is not unreasonable. Like in the video, I totally agree with that guy. Truthfully, what I feel about them is, spiderman and the rest of the superheroes normally fight with their fist, whereas batman always fight with his brain. If I was asked, who will survive in an abandoned island, I will say batman. Coz he has BRAINS!

2012 world ends?

I have heard from my brother that someone had predicted that the 21st of December 2012, will be the end of this world. Well, it sounds kinda scary, to think that the end is waiting for you in front. Should I believe this 2012 prophecy? I know that there are many other predictions done in the past. And it seems that none has happened as predicted. Like for the millenium 2000, I can’t really remember what happened. But one thing for sure, that is, many people are rushing to the supermarkets to buy as much food as possible, to be stocked up in their homes.

Anyway, is it really true that this prophecy will happen? If so, now is 2010, and this prophecy is just 2 years later. Should I just stop what I am working so hard for (studying) my future, and enjoy life while I can, or should I ignore this prophecy? It’s really not something that can be ignored completely though. When something concerns your life, you will more or less be bothered by it. But whatever it is, I am not gonna be thinking of it. So, goodbye! 2012 Prophecy!

make-up VS good skin

Is it really important for beauty? Even at the risk of damaging your own skin? Yes, I will not deny that the society now tend to view people based on appearance. But if you are beautiful, you are beautiful. If you are not, you are not. Why is there a need to apply so much make-up on your face, nails, etc, just to be beautiful, in front of people? You are not yourself, right?

Maybe you need to apply make-up for your work, I shall not comment on that. But to apply make-up to be as perfect and beautiful in front of someone you love, is absurd. To be not yourself with your loved one, to be as perfect as your loved one expect you to be, I will label you one word, “SILLY”. No offence to anyone. This is just my opinion. Because I believe everyone has their own opinions. And for me, I find trust and comfort most important among couples.

Oh hell….I have led myself out of the topic. Basically, what I wanna say is, make-up is bad for skin, as it does great damage to your skin. Although there are many so-called “NATURAL” kinds of make-up, but I trust that even if they are natural, there is more or less some damage done to your skin. Whatever it is, it is your choice to choose, natural skin or beautiful make-up.

The rich and the poor (illness)

Recently had a discussion with family…

The rich have illness that are meant for the rich, whereas the poor have illness that are meant for the poor. This is because the poor had reason for the illness they get (which I don’t really know), whereas the rich had reason for the illness they get(because of all the eating of the good food / 大鱼大肉). I know it sounds silly, but one thing for sure, and that is, no matter what illness the rich have, they will have the money to seek medical treatment, whereas for the poor, they will suffer the torture of their own illness till death….which is sad….
